about sweet sensations

wp468ac8d0_0f.jpg Liz Bygrave, who runs Sweet Sensations, has spent the last few years experimenting with various alternative and natural ingredients. These include sweeteners such as xylitol (see article) and agave syrup; oils and nuts for imparting a creamy dairy taste to recipes; and inventive ways of making no-cook pie crusts and flan bases. As new ingredients come onto the market, Liz tries them out and keeps you informed.

Chocolate
And there is good news about chocolate - raw chocolate, also known as ‘cacao’,  contains at least four times the antioxidants as the darkest of dark organic chocolate, as well as a host of other nutrients such as magnesium, sulphur and PEA. (Read the article on raw chocolate on this site for more information.)

Can't cook?
Well, the dishes Liz has created involve no cooking and don’t use complicated lists of ingredients, so they are very quick & easy to prepare. (All recipes are also vegan, mostly raw, & of course completely  free from sugar, dairy & wheat.)

About Liz
Liz has worked as a natural health therapist since the early 1990s. She has always liked to eat as healthily as possible, but also has a very sweet tooth to satisfy!

This led her to seek out healthier alternatives to sugar and dairy and wheat, and then to experiment with recipes where she could finally indulge her sweet tooth without having to worry about what she was putting in her mouth.

What was a hobby grew into a business as she realised that other people were also keen to know about the ingredients she used and how to combine them to make delicious sweet recipes.
